- Farms and ranches were submerged across southern Alberta, when relentless rains flooded creeks that spilled their banks. It will be some time before the exact extent of the damage and impact on agricultural areas is known. This farm, shown here on June 20, is near the hamlet of Millarville in southern Alberta. - Despite the destruction, someone at the Millarville Farmers Market site has a sense of humour, leaving a bag of stall dry at the entry to the washed-out road, shown here on June 20. Needless to say, the Millarville Farmers Market was cancelled until the road is repaired. (Wendy Dudley photo)
- The town of Turner Valley saw its bridge, shown here on June 23, washed out when the waters of the Sheep River overflowed during flash flooding. Part of the town was also evacuated because of a sour gas leak that happened when a fallen tree punched a hole in the pipe. The pipe was repaired a couple of days later when waters subsided enough for crews to fix it. (Wendy Dudley photo)
