Get the ecological goods online
The annual Canadian Forage and Grasslands Conference is joining several other major conferences in moving online for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Attendees will still be able to connect with Canadian forage experts for “informative, interactive and insightful discussion on creating ecological goods and services ecosystems, forage diversity, planning, agronomics and exports,” the Canadian Forage and Grassland Association announced on its website.
The conference, which had been scheduled for Nov. 18-19 in Kamloops, B.C., will instead run online from Nov. 16 to 20. Registration information and other details aren’t yet available but will appear on the CFGA’s event web page when they are.
“We’re looking forward to creating an interactive conference where participants will have the chance to stay safe, learn and network with industry leaders,” CFGA executive director Cedric MacLeod said in a release.
Experts will also discuss “high-performance forage management techniques, provide soil fertility insights, share planting tips, offer weed control advice and talk about methods for harvesting the highest quality forages,” the association said.
