By MarketsFarm

WINNIPEG, Oct. 6 (MarketsFarm) – The following is a glance at the news moving markets in Canada and globally.

– United States President Donald Trump returned to the White House Monday evening after leaving Walter Reed National Medical Center where he had been receiving treatment for COVID-19. Trump removed his mask and said he felt good, despite still being contagious. The move was criticised by infectious disease experts and his Democratic presidential challenger, Joe Biden. A number of Trump’s inner circle have also tested positive for the coronavirus over the past week.

– Opposition groups in the Central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan have reportedly seized power after taking control of government buildings in the capital, Bishkek. Protests were sparked after claims of vote-rigging during a parliamentary election on Sunday. One person died and nearly 600 were injured in the uprising, according to reports.

– Roughly four million people have already voted in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, according to early voting data. That compares with only 75,000 a month before the 2016 election, and was seen as a sign of a possible record turnout.
