National Organic Grain and Feedstuffs: November 9

USDA Livestock, Poultry & Grain Market News – Compared to two weeks ago, grower bids on feed grade organic grains steady with the exception of the northeast U.S., where bids are substantially higher. Feed corn traded .06 lower on good trade and demand. No trend available for feed soybeans but steady to slightly lower undertones noted. Soybean meal trade and demand good. Soybean oil trades too limited to trend, but steady undertones noted. Feed wheat, barley, and oat trade too limited to trend. Food grade HRS wheat traded mostly 12.60 to 13.20 FOB, food grade SRW wheat traded mostly 8.50 to 9.25 FOB. Forward contract activity good on corn and soybeans. Hay trade and demand light.

According to NASS’s National Crop Progress Report for the week ending November 6, 2016, percentages were: corn harvested 86 per cent; soybeans harvested 93 per cent; cotton harvested 56 per cent; sorghum harvested 84 per cent; winter wheat planted 91 per cent, emerged 79 per cent.
