National Organic Grain and Feedstuffs: March 1

USDA Livestock, Poultry & Grain Market News – Compared to two weeks ago, grower bids on feed grade organic grains were steady with instances of wheat being 1.00 higher. Feed grade corn demand moderate to good and traded slightly lower at mostly 7.75 – 8.25 FOB the farm.

Trade activity improved on feed soybeans, trading 1.31 higher than the prior period. Soybean meal traded steady. Too little activity on trades for soybean oil, rye, and barley to trend.

HRW feed wheat activity light with no trend available due to lack of comparable trades. Forward contract activity on new crop organic grains good, mostly on corn and soybeans, with limited contracting on food and feed wheat. Organic hay trades too limited to trend. Trade activity on all other organic grains inactive.
