WINNIPEG, Jan. 29 (CNS Canada) The Canadian dollar was slightly weaker Monday morning, taking some direction from crude oil.
At 9:32 CST Monday morning the Canadian dollar was at US$0.8108 or C$1.2333, which compares with Friday’s North American close of US$0.8116 or C$1.2321.
Crude oil was posting small losses in early activity, as rising production out of the United States countered efforts by OPEC to curb output.
There were no significant Canadian economic releases Monday morning.
