Canadian dollar and business outlook

WINNIPEG, November 9 The Canadian dollar strengthened against its US counterpart Monday morning, seeing some recovery after falling to a five week low.
At 8:55 a.m. CST the Canadian dollar was at US$0.7538 or C$1.3266 which compares with Friday’s North American close of US$0.7521, or C$1.3296.
In Canadian domestic data, Canada produced 20.2 million cubic metres of crude oil and equivalent products in August, up 10.6 per cent from the same month a year earlier, according to Statistics Canada.
The TSX was weaker in early activity, down 38.65 points at 8:55 a.m. CST to sit at 13,514.65.
