Canadian Financial Close: Loonie adds bit more
Slight movements in greenback, crude oil

Glacier Farm Media MarketsFarm – The Canadian dollar closed a pinch higher on Tuesday.
The Canadian dollar closed at US$0.7368 or US$1=C$1.3572, compared to Monday’s finish of US$0.7362 or US$1=C$1.3583. On the United States Dollar Index, the greenback tacked on 0.086 of a point at 104.020.
Benchmark crude oil prices eased back on Tuesday, despite continuing heightened tensions across much of the Middle East.
Brent crude oil lost 75 cents at US$86.00 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate gave up 50 cents at US$81.45.
The TSX Composite Index shed 29.76 points on Tuesday, closing at 21,912.52.
Gold nudged up US$1.40 at US$2,199.60 per ounce.
