Canadian Financial Close: Loonie, TSX come down

The loonie closed at US$0.7301 or US$1=C$1.3696, compared to US$0.7307 or US$1=C$1.3686 on Wednesday.
The U.S. Dollar Index was up 0.44 of a point at 104.18.
Crude oil prices underwent a correction on Thursday, paring some of Wednesday’s increases. Brent crude oil shed US$0.28 at US$84.80 per barrel. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) dropped US$0.46 at US$82.39/barrel.
The TSX/S&P Composite Index lost 124.41 points at 22,726.76, the second-straight session it lost more than 100 points.
Gold fell US$12.00 at US$2,447.90 per ounce.
