NEW CONTEST: Win free farm fuel

A farmer somewhere in Canada will receive a month of free farm fuel, worth up to $5,000, from Country Guide magazine in our latest contest.

Farmers who’d like to subscribe or renew their subscriptions to Country Guide before the end of this year, at a special rate of 43 per cent off the normal subscription price, can start entering the contest now, by CLICKING HERE. (And so can farmers who’d just like to enter the contest, with no purchase necessary.)

The winning farmer, who will be chosen in a draw here in Winnipeg on Jan. 10, 2014, will be reimbursed for one month’s worth of farm fuel (diesel fuel or gasoline) up to a maximum of $5,000 in fuel expenses in a single month in 2013.

THE RULES

You may enter the draw in two ways:

  1. Order a subscription or renewal to Country Guide, Canadian Cattlemen, Grainews or the Manitoba Co-operator; or
  2. Complete an entry form available at no cost from Farm Business Communications.

All entries must clearly show your name, address and phone number so we can contact you, if you win.

No purchase is necessary. Each subscription shall be treated as a separate entry. You may enter the contest more than once.

Entries must be received on or before 12 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2013.

THE PRIZE

Farm Business Communications, publisher of Country Guide, Canadian Cattlemen, Grainews and the Manitoba Co-operator, will reimburse the winner for one month’s worth of farm fuel (diesel fuel or gasoline) up to a maximum of $5,000 in fuel expenses in a single month purchased in 2013. The winner may purchase fuel from the supplier of his or her choice but will only be reimbursed for fuel purchased from a recognized commercial bulk fuel dealer.

The winner must submit receipts for fuel purchased within a single month and will only be reimbursed for fuel purchased within that month. Receipts must be signed by an executive of the supplying company. The winner will only be reimbursed for fuel purchased by the winner and supplied to the winner by the supplier issuing the receipt. Eligibility subject to verification.

GENERAL RULES

A random draw will be made in Winnipeg, Manitoba at 12 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014. In order to win, the contestant must first correctly answer a time-limited, mathematical, skill-testing question. Before being declared the winner, the contestant will be required to sign a declaration and release form which includes the following:

  1. confirms compliance with the draw rules and acceptance of prize as offered
  2. acknowledges the non-responsibility of Farm Business Communications;
  3. acknowledges the right of Farm Business Communications to publish the winner’s picture, name and address without charge or compensation other than the prize offered.

The prize is not transferable or refundable. The decisions of the judges with respect to all aspects of the draw are final. The chances of winning are dependent on the total number of eligible entries received.

All entries become the property of Farm Business Communications, which assumes no responsibility for lost, misplaced or misdirected entries. This draw is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.

The draw is open only to persons who are residents of Canada (excluding residents of Quebec) and who are the age of majority, according to the province in which they reside, excepting employees of Farm Business Communications, the judges and members of their respective families and persons with whom they are domiciled.

To receive the name of the winner, please send a postage-paid, self-addressed envelope within six months after the draw date to Farm Business Communications, Box 9800, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 3K7 or read the name of the winner in Country Guide, Canadian Cattlemen, Grainews and the Manitoba Co-operator.
