Warmer than normal temperatures are expected across most of Canada over the next three months, according to the latest long-range seasonal forecast from Environment and Climate Change Canada as of June 30.
The government agency calls for a 60 to 100 per cent chance of above normal temperatures from July through September across the entire agricultural regions of the country from coast to coast.
The weather models point to an increased probability of below normal precipitation in key crop growing regions of Alberta and Saskatchewan. Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec are forecast to see normal precipitation.
