Warmer than normal temperatures are expected continue across most of Canada over the next three months, according to the latest long-range seasonal forecast from Environment and Climate Change Canada as of July 31.

The government agency calls for a 40 to 60 per cent chance of above normal temperatures from August through October across the Prairie provinces, with an even higher probability in Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic region.

The weather models point to normal precipitation for most agricultural areas, aside from parts of western Alberta where there’s a small probability of above normal precipitation, and Atlantic Canada which has an increased probability of below normal rainfall.
