National Organic Grain and Feedstuffs: December 7

USDA Livestock, Poultry & Grain Market News – Compared to two weeks ago, grower bids on feed grade organic grains were unevenly steady. Food grade corn trades limited on moderate demand. Food wheat traded unevenly steady on good activity and demand. Trade inactive on all other food grade commodities. Feed corn trade active on moderate demand. Trade and demand light on feed soybeans. No comparable trades for soybean meal and soybean oil. Forward contract activity down compared to this time last year. Hay trade and demand light.

According to NASS’s National Crop Progress Report for the week ending November 27, 2016, percentages were: cotton harvested 77 per cent; sorghum harvested 96 per cent; winter wheat emerged 92 per cent.
